Everyone associated with Landyachtz Longboards realizes that the creativity seen in the boards that they produce is due in no small part to the ingenuity of the company’s founders, Michael Perreten and Thomas Edstrand. Michael and Thomas started skating together when they were in elementary school. Growing up in Vancouver, they had the unique experience of being surrounded by some of the steepest skating hills around. After spending some time apart, this dynamic dual of skateboarding met up once again at the University of Victoria. In the interim, both had been designing and creating their own skateboards. Through trial and error, each had come up with unique boards that challenge the status quo that existed at the time in the longboarding community.

From the outset, the goal of the founders of Landyachtz Longboards was to design high-quality boards that were innovative but that were also extremely durable and would last their customers a long time.

One of the reasons why Landyachtz Longboards continues to be popular with skateboarders is because the company is owned and operated by skateboarders. This has led to an environment where creativity and innovation thrive. When new skateboards are designed, everyone who works at the company is excited to ride them, critique them and offer suggestions on how future boards can be improved.

Landyachtz Longboards has created and designed some of the most rider friendly and intuitive boards out there, including the Canyon Arrow. The Canyon Arrow is a simple board that has been put together in a sophisticated way. It is perfect for anyone who is looking to do technical steep downhill riding.

Another board that showcases the creativity that has made Landyachtz Longboards so popular is the Wolf Shark. This board has also been designed to give downhill longboard riders the thrill and exhilaration they desperately crave while at the same time providing a secure base for the rider’s feet. These two boards are just a small sampling of the scores of boards that Landyachtz Longboards has produced.

Landyachtz Longboards seems to have a bright future ahead. In the year 2007, just 10 years after they first opened their doors, Landyachtz Longboards needed to move to a larger factory in order to keep up with the orders for their boards. This is proof of the fact that longboarders around the world enjoy the high quality, diverse, fun to ride boards produced by these longboarding enthusiasts.
