About Krown Longboards

The world of longboarding is extremely exciting. Every single day there are hundreds of young individuals purchasing their first board. Usually, it is their parents who buy the boards for them. Parents may be reluctant to spend the $250 plus that may be required to buy some of the higher end longboards. However, at the same time, they want to guarantee that their children have an enjoyable time on their first longboard. Krown longboards are perfect for individuals in this situation.

Krown longboards are some of the least expensive boards on the market. They have a wide appeal and can be purchased on the Internet on sites like Amazon.com or at local retail stores, including Walmart. They have been designed to be a basic board that is going to be a good introduction into the world of longboarding for novices.

Krown has designed boards for every single type of skateboarding style. For example, the Krown Elite Black longboard is the perfect board for people who are looking to be introduced to the world of downhill riding. It has a very sturdy design, high quality trucks, and a low center of gravity that make downhill riding a breeze.

Krown longboards come equipped with good quality but basic wheels, bushings and other materials. However, one of the nice things about the products produced by Krown Longboards is that they are adjustable. Changes can be made to the wheels, to the trucks and to the bearings to increase the performance that the rider will get from the board. So basically, the boards produced by Krown have been designed to grow with the rider.

Another feature about Krown longboards that is attractive to many is their graphic designs. One of the most popular boards that Krown produces is the Krown Elite Rasta Lion. This board has a unique red, yellow, and green display on the deck that is overlaid with the face of a roaring lion. It is sure to capture the attention of anyone who sees it.

While not being the longboard that an experienced longboarder may purchase, the boards produced by Krown are perfect for someone who is new to the sport or for someone who is looking for a quality board that is inexpensive to get them from point A to point B. Many individuals who have purchased this board have commented on how much they enjoy riding it. It is the perfect introductory board for anyone looking to get into this exciting sport.

Krown Wood Sunset Longboard

The Complete Krown Longboard is a 43-inch pintail design that comes in several different variations, all of which have awesome graphics. This board is a great choice for those working with a limited budget but who want a premium longboard.

This longboard uses 10-ply Canadian maplewood, which gives it enhanced strength and sturdiness. Attached to that board are 6-inch aluminum alloy trucks that give it a small turning radius that is perfect for cruising around tight corners. The bearings in the wheels are premium quality, as well, with the bearings being ABEC7 rated and the wheels measuring 65mm in diameter. All of this gives the Complete longboard a lightweight feel.

This Krown board comes in many different awesome graphic designs. Aside from the aesthetically pleasing look of the board, it also provides smooth turning capabilities and is very budget friendly. This makes it a great option for new longboarders.

Unfortunately, though, there are a few issues with the board. The first is that this board comes with stock wheels that are not quite as high-quality as other options, so you may want to replace them as soon as you can. Also, there have been some that have found that the Canadian maplewood tends to chip fairly easily.

Krown Sunset City Surf Longboard

A perfect option for cruising around town, this City Surf board shares a lot in common with Krown’s other pintail options. However, there is a specific type of boarder who would benefit the most from investing in this sweet board.

Sticking with Krown patented use of Canadian maplewood, this board is durable and can stand up to just about anything. This board has a drop-through deck mounting configuration, which allows for improved flexibility. The deck has 6-inch aluminum alloy trucks attached to it which allow for improved maneuverability. The City Surf board uses ABEC7 bearings with 71mm wheels.

There are a lot of things about this board that stand out. One of the biggest, though, is the combination of a pintail-shaped deck and large wheels, which helps improve the carving capability of this board. On top of that, the board is very affordable and offers a lot of value, which is always a plus.

Like many of Krown’s boards, one of the major issues is the stock wheels. Along with this, though, there have been some issues with the stock bearings of this board, as well as the quality and performance.

Moose Krown Kicktail Longboard

This next longboard is perfect for long rides and has excellent mobility. The Moose Krown Kicktail Complete has a pintail design and is outfitted with tons of great features, which makes it great for almost any boarder.

The board itself is designed with a 9″ by 43″ pintail shape. It is crafted in Canadian maplewood, which not only makes it lightweight but also durable. The overall construction of this board gives it a heightened level of stability, and the black grip tape included on the top of the deck helps with traction. Attached to the deck itself is a pair of high-quality aluminum alloy trucks.

The premium-grade materials used in its overall construction makes it very sturdy, which gives it high-quality performance. The use of maplewood, as well as the trucks and wheels, gives the kicktail board heightened levels of stability and makes it very comfortable to use.

Even with all of those great design features, the board still has one major issue. Though durable and high-quality, the wheels can become loose after a little use. This could cause problems and may even be a safety concern.

Krown Rasta Freestyle Elite Drop Through Longboard

If you’re looking for a drop-through style board that is perfect for freestyling, then the next Krown board could be the one for you.

The Freestyle Elite Drop Through comes with an 8-ply Canadian maplewood deck. The use of this combination gives the board good stability and durability. This board is designed to sit lower to the ground, which makes it great for downhillers or people just starting out on the longboard. Along with the improved control and stability, the board has 71mm wheels with ABEC7 bearings.

The board itself is very user-friendly, which is why it is such a great choice for beginners. That coupled with the lower center of gravity and the low price of entry make it a great starter board. Along with that, the Rasta aesthetic makes it look cool.

The 39-inch length may be an issue for some people, though, especially if they are tall. Also the grip tape has a tendency to be less durable than other options, and you may find that it starts to peel quite easily.

Krown Krex 2 Bamboo Freestyle Longboard

With a combination of construction and a freestyle design, the Krex 2 is a durable, strong, and easily maneuvered option for all kinds of boarders, but it is especially useful for those who are just learning or who want to do more complex stunts.

The Krex 2 is designed using a maplewood bamboo core. The combination of these two kinds of wood gives the board both flexibility and durability. Utilizing bamboo in this design also gives the board longevity because bamboo is easy to get ahold of, so you can always keep your longboard looking new. The board uses 7-inch black trucks with speed bearings and 71mm 78A wheels. This combination allows for speed and enhances stability when it comes to writing.

The board has a compact design and is very durable thanks to its construction. This board’s use of a compact design makes it easy to transport from place to place. That coupled with the trucks and the wheels make it easy to ride and give the board a high turning radius. Because of the clear smooth finish, it is also simpler to clean than other options.

When looking at this board, there’s only one major issue. The wheels used in the construction of this board come very tight, so you will need some time to break them in to make the ride as smooth as possible.
