Review

Arbor has mastered the art of producing high quality hybrid boards. Their ability to combine Maple with other materials, such as fiberglass and bamboo, have allowed them to create some of the most spectacular boards that are hitting the pavement today. The Arbor Shakedown fits nicely with the other high-quality boards that Arbor has produced.

This board has been designed to allow the rider to enjoy various aspects of skateboarding. They can do everything from skating down the street, cruising long distances, skating at the local skate park or tackling a terrain range. The board’s versatility comes in part thanks to its unique design.

A pivotal part of the boards functionality is its deck. The Shakedown is made of 7 plies of sustainable Maple, with a sustainable Koa veneer top sheet.

This allows the board to have the perfect mixture of stiffness and flexibility that is needed to have an enjoyable ride. Somewhat on the smaller side, at 36 inches in length and 9 inches in width, the board is light enough that it can be transported anywhere.

It’s wide wheel base of 17.25 inches also works to enhance the board’s stability. The ride-ability of this board is only enhanced by the solid concave in the deck.

After purchasing this board, a person should not hesitate to take it with them wherever they go. It is literally designed to skate everything and to skate everywhere. The board has been designed to combine freestyle flexibility with the cruise-ability of a longboard.amazon button

Arbor Shakedown ReviewIts 10 inch trucks allow for a smooth ride, smooth turns, and little to no wobbles, even at high speeds. The 65 mm 78 a wheels will easily roll over any cracks in the sidewalk. These wheels are soft enough to grip rough pavement.

The utilitarian design of the board provides it with great pop geometry. The Shakedown is the perfect transportation board, especially if the rider is traveling through a technical environment.

Its versatility makes it the perfect board to travel with. Since you do not know what circumstances you will run into when traveling to a new area, bringing the Shakedown with you is a great idea. No matter what you run up against, no matter what type of terrain you face, the Shakedown is going to provide the optimal riding experience.

The beauty of the board is enhanced by the clear recycled glass grip tape. This allows the beauty of the wood underneath to shine through. The extra speedy ABEC 5 bearings contribute to the board riding smoothly.

While this board is perfect for all riders at any skill level, it may take newer riders a little bit of time to get accustomed to the way the board quickly responds to any shift in weight.

However, once a beginner gets accustomed to the board, they are going to be skating, carving, cruising, bombing hills and sliding like the pros in no time.
